I've seen the Nick Hope plugin compatibility list and while somewhat useful, I found it to be relatively confusing in that it seems like it is focused towards video plugins which came bundled in Vegas prior versions and trying to show if they work in the newer versions. Can I therefore make a general assumption that if I try out the AE supported version of plugins from other vendors that I would have a high probability they would work in VP16? I'm trying to find some kind of video plugin standard where there seems to be no standard. I just watched this video and noticed the guy selected to us the Adobe AE supported video plugins of GenArts Sapphire plugin. What I'm also starting to see is that most of the officially Vegas pro video supported plugins go back to VP13 and past that it's looking like most of the 3rd party vendors stopped supporting Vegas versions of their plugins. There's no similar standard plugin format for video plugs like DX, or VST for the audio plugins? Is this correct? I'm basing this assumption on that I've seen multiple versions of the same plugin where it shows there's an AE and FCP version. I'm currently, shopping around for some Video Plugins to use with VP16. I'm relatively new to the video side of Vegas Pro and am coming from an audio background.
